Climbing Roses vary greatly in habit and vigour. Some are suitable for trellis and fences some very vigorous types are great over pergolas on tall walls and growing into trees or tree stumps. Few with thinner more pliable canes look great over arches or hanging over rock walls. Some come in large flowered varieties , others are cluster flowered. A some of our English Roses by David Austin, and quite a fewof the Heritage Roses are also suitable for climbing purposes. Climbing Roses have a massive flowering in spring, some repeat flower again in summer and autumn and some of the older varieties are spring flowering only. Many are very heavy scented.
