Bruce's Dream
Named after multi awarded Australian rose breeder Bruce Brundrett for his passion and dedication to roses, this is a very special rose, considered by Bruce himself to be one of his best creations.
Its classic shaped buds open to reveal intense yellow/apricot petals that slowly fade to a cream colour. The foliage is dark green with large leaves and the plant is very healthy and disease resistant. It’s a perfect variety for cut flowers.
Winner of Bronze Medal and the Hamilton Gardens NZ Perpetual Challenge Award for the Best Hybrid Tea of the Trial, at the National Rose Trial Garden of Australia in 2018.

- Dig a hole 60cm wide and 60cm deep. If the topsoil is usable, separate it from the sand as it can be re-used in the hole. When planting roses in an existing rose bed or where roses have been previously grown during the last 5 years, the soil must be replaced.
- Mix together a mixture that contains 2 parts topsoil, 2 parts compost, 1 part manure or buy a Soil Improver, Landscaping or Rose Soil mix from a Landscape supply place. About 100 litres per planting hole is recommended.
- A layer of manure can be placed at the bottom of the hole and then the hole filled with the above soil mix.
- Place one handful of slow-release fertilizer at 20cm depth from the top where the roots of the newly planted rose will be situated.
- Soak the soil thoroughly and lightly compact.
- Now plant the rose in this mix with the surface of the plant even with the surface of the prepared area, e.g., the graft union should be about 5 to 10 cm above soil level.
- Water every day for the first six months from October onwards, up to 10 litres per day during warm weather is recommended for strong deep root development.
- Plant roses 1m to 1.2m apart.
